The regular meeting will be preceded by a 10 am planning meeting for the District, with attendees reviewing the draft operations plan, draft changes to the strategic plan and the draft budget for 2026. There will no other items addressed during the planning meeting. Due to "zoom bombing" issues, we are no longer publishing the Zoom meeting links on the district's website. 2025 Lewis and Clark County Local Work Group Meeting

The 2025 Local Work Group meeting for Lewis and Clark County will take place on Thursday March 27th from noon to 1 pm. We will meet at the USDA Service Center Conference Room, 790 Colleen Street, Helena Montana. In the event of a government shutdown, the meeting will be moved to the DNRC CM Russell Conference Room, 1539 11th Avenue, Helena MT.  The purpose of this meeting is to review any new natural resource concerns in the county, as well as reviewing past and current concerns and priorities, so that the Lewis and Clark Conservation District and the NRCS Field Office can adjust planning for the future. 2024 Local Work Group Meetings

The Lewis & Clark Conservation District, and the NRCS Helena Field Office are co-hosting 2 Local Work Groups in 2024. The first will be on June 25, 2024 and will be at the Trinity Elementary School, 7435 Duffy Lane, Canyon Creek, MT 59633. It will take place for 12 noon to 2 pm. The second will be on July 9th, 2024 and will be at the Wolf Creek School, 150 Walsh Street, Wolf Creek MT 59648. It will take place from 12 noon to 2 pm. These meetings are for anyone in Lewis and Clark County who has information or feedback for us about natural resource needs in the county. 2022 Annual Report

As part of our year-end activities, the Conservation District puts together an annual report of their activities.  It can be viewed here. In December, the board reviewed the planning for 2023 with changes to the Strategic Plan for 2022-2026 and the operations plan for 2023.  With the loss of a staff member, we hope to be hiring in 2023 at some point, probably closer to spring.  In the meantime, our current staff member, Chris Evans, will be taking some annual leave before year-end and will be back January 3rd. The updated planning documents will be posted once they are finalized and approved by the Board.
