The next regular meeting of the Lewis & Clark Conservation District will be Thursday, July 11, 2024. It will take place at 8:30 am at the Dearborn Community Center (the old Dearborn School) on Highway 434, outside of Wolf Creek Montana (See map) All meetings of the Conservation District are open to the public. This meeting will be in-person only since there is no available internet at the location. 2024 Public Hearing for Renewal of Permissive Mill Levy

The Lewis and Clark Conservation District will hold a public hearing on Wednesday July 23, 2024 from 12:30-1:30 pm. This hearing will be held via Zoom conferencing. The purpose of the hearing is to review the Conservation District Budget and renew the current Permissive Mill Levy for employee benefits for 2 employees with the Conservation District. The current permissive levy for health benefits amounts to about $.51 per year for a $400,000 home. 2024 Local Work Group Meetings

The Lewis & Clark Conservation District, and the NRCS Helena Field Office are co-hosting 2 Local Work Groups in 2024. The first will be on June 25, 2024 and will be at the Trinity Elementary School, 7435 Duffy Lane, Canyon Creek, MT 59633. It will take place for 12 noon to 2 pm. The second will be on July 9th, 2024 and will be at the Wolf Creek School, 150 Walsh Street, Wolf Creek MT 59648. It will take place from 12 noon to 2 pm. These meetings are for anyone in Lewis and Clark County who has information or feedback for us about natural resource needs in the county. 2024 Local Work Group Meetings

In 2024, the Conservation District will host 2 Local Work Group Meetings in the county. The first will be at the Canyon Creek School, 7435 Duffy Lane, Canyon Creek, Montana. It will take place from 12-2 pm on June 25th. The second will be at the Wolf Creek School, 150 Walsh Street, Wolf Creek, Montana. It will take place from 12-2 pm on July 9th. Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided at these meetings. These meetings are intended to draw in landowners, land users and others who would like to provide information on new and continuing natural resource concerns in Lewis & Clark County.
