New Ownership Map Booklets

The office just received a new shipment of land ownership map booklets!  The color version is $40 and is 1 township per page, the black and white version is $25 and is actually the same size as the color version, just cheaper since it's in black and white Used for hunting permission information, fishing access information and more, these booklets can be a valuable tool for working and recreating outdoors in Lewis & Clark County.  The information is the most up-to-date based off of the Department of Revenue's Landowner information off the www.gis.mt.gov, aka. "cadastral" map layer. The next regular meeting of the Lewis & Clark Conservation District will be June 9.  It will begin at 8:30 a.m. and takes place at the Dearborn Community Center, 5855 Highway 434 outside of Wolf Creek Mt.  Also, here are the minutes from the May meeting and the Agenda for the June Meeting. Helena High Envirothon State Champs Need Your Help

Congratulations Helena High - Envirothon State Champions 2016!           It's not over yet for Helena High, they have the opportunity to attend the North American Envirothon competition in Ontario in July but they need your help to get there.The team needs your help raising money to help with their travel costs. The Lewis & Clark Conservation District budgets funds annually to support the teams and have been doing so since 2009. However, we can't cover the entire cost so they need you to donate if you can. Please donate through the Conservation District which allows for tax deductible donations in their name. What is Envirothon? January Board meeting change

Due to the requirement for District Administrator Chris Evans to attend a training, the January 14th meeting will be rescheduled to a different date in January, yet to be determined.   The Board of Supervisors reviewed and edited the Annual Plan of Operations for 2016 at the December meeting and is currently working on budget revisions.  Those two documents will be posted when they are complete.  January 4th, the Conservation District office will welcome Big Sky Watershed Corps (associated with Americorps) member Ashley Rivero.  Ashley will be working with the CD, the Lake Helena Watershed Group and the Lewis & Clark County Water Quality Protection District for most of 2016.  We welcome Ashley's assistance and look forward to getting to know her a bit better.  She will be putting together…
