Please join the NRCS and the Lewis and Clark Conservation District for a Day on the Range on August 14, 2018.  It runs from 10-3 and the cost will be $10/person to help cover lunch. Range Monitoring Invasive Species insect releases and monitoring Rainfall simulator Montana Wild presentation on Raptors   Please register by August 3, 2018!!!   Directions: Out of Augusta, take Benchmark Road, follow it past Nilan Reservoir (to your right).  At the Y where Benchmark Road takes a left, continue onto Beaver Willow Road.  Scoutana is just before the next Y in the road.  It’s about 15 or 16 miles out of Augusta and should take about ½ an hour out of Augusta. Winning Envirothon Team!!!!

A little birdy told me that the winning team at this year's State Envirothon competition was from our very own Helena High School! For the second year in a row, the winning team is from HHS. The third place team was from Capital High!!! The Conservation District sponsored the 4 teams that went this year from Helena and Capital High schools, and will assist the winning team to get to the North American Envirothon. Congratulations!!!!

Cheatgrass Management Seminar-2017

Please plan to join us on Saturday November 5 for our small acreage landowner workshop!  Registration must be done in advance, since we need your property information to print up individual soil maps for you.  Registration is only $10 and is limited to 30 people.
