Hearing for Permissive Levy for Benefits 2023

Public Hearing
The Lewis and Clark Conservation District will hold a public hearing on Thursday July 27th from 1 to 2 pm.  This hearing will be held via Zoom conferencing.  The purpose of the hearing is to review the Conservation District Budget and renew the current Permissive Mill Levy for employee benefits for 2 employees with the Conservation District. The current levy amounts to about $4.24 per year for a $200,000 home. The Lewis and Clark Conservation District is hiring a full-time Resource Specialist position, open until filled. The CD is a 2 person office and while the position description for the Resource Specialist is long, it is also flexible and fluid from season to season. This is a full time job, some work in the field, some in the office. Our organization works extensively doing outreach and education, using the Rolling Rivers Trailer, doing volunteer events and more. Also part of the job, helping to administer the 310 Permit Program, work with landowners on technical concerns and work with the board and existing staff on project and program development.
